Having Internet access from home is practically a requirement for living in the 21st century! You can pay your bills, do your shopping, do research, and play games all from the comfort of your living room. But to get on the Internet, you need to sign up with an Internet Service Provider (or ISP) -- which is sort of like your phone or cable company, but for the Web. Unlike in the early days of the Internet, there are tons of ISPs to choose from -- discount ISPs, full-featured dial-up ISPs, and high-speed cable or DSL ISPs. The good news is that with so many Internet Service Providers out there, finding one that fits your needs can be a cinch. Better still, with so much competition for your business, there are tons of steals on ISPs -- including high speed Internet service! And even better, ISP technology is improving so quickly that even users of dialup ISP providers can access the Internet faster than ever -- almost as fast as broadband users! The only downside with the Internet access market is that there are so many ISPs out there -- so you'll need to do a ton of research to find the one that's best for you.
